Teacher Mini-Grant Update: Pedal Cycles

In 2024, Mrs. Hess, a 1st-grade teacher at Kutztown Area Elementary School, received a wonderful mini-grant from the Education Foundation that allowed her to bring pedal cycles into her classroom.

One parent couldn't wait to share her excitement about this fantastic addition!

"Derek likes his classroom's new pedal cycle thanks to the Ed Foundation mini-grant! I love when I get smiling pictures of him from school! He had the biggest smile; I just had to share his enjoyment with you and the Foundation."

Mrs. Hess even nicknamed some of her students "pedal champs," which shows how much of a hit the new classroom addition has been. The enthusiasm in the air is contagious, and the positive impact of the mini-grant is evident in the smiles and enjoyment of the students.
