Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation Announces 2025 Distinguished Alumna of the Year, Mikal C. Harden, KAHS Class of 1994
The Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation Board of Directors announced the 2025 Distinguished Alumna of the year, Mikal C. Harden. Mikal is a cofounder of Juno Search Partners, a talent acquisition and staffing firm, as well as a partner and cofounder of Juno Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm.
Mikal is a 1994 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and a 1999 graduate of Kutztown University (KU) where she received a B.S. in Telecommunications. Following graduation from KU, Mikal served as the Director of Sales and as an Assistant General Manager for American Golf Corporation. From there, she went on to serve as Manager of the Administrative Support Division of MRINetwork and then as an Executive Recruiter for Attolon.
In 2010, Mikal cofounded Juno Search Partners, with its headquarters in Philadelphia. Mikal grew the talent solutions firm from 15 employees to 85 employees before it was acquired in 2022. In the meantime, in 2020 Mikal co-founded another company, Juno Capital. This company was originally designed to assist local Philadelphia-based startups but is now supporting innovative entrepreneurs across the country.
Mikal also has a number of volunteer endeavors. She is a founding member of DisruptHR Philadelphia which serves as an information exchange platform for the local human resources (HR) community. Mikal also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Mann Music Center, a non-profit performing arts center providing free education programs and free stage performances in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Additionally, Mikal serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT) which is a hub for networking, access to capital, and mentorship for entrepreneurs.
Mikal will be honored at a reception held at Setter Ridge Vineyards. Mikal will deliver the commencement address to the Kutztown Area High School graduating class of 2025.
