KASDEF and KASD are working together to launch two new projects that will improve learning opportunities in the district.

The Kutztown Area School District Education Foundation is excited to announce that it is working with the district on two projects that provide new learning opportunities and supplement school activities not always covered by local tax dollars.

Stage the Future supports the Kutztown Area School District’s rich history in music and the arts. While the Kutztown Area High School auditorium has long been considered a premium venue for hosting county and regional concerts, upgrades are needed to support our top-notch music and theater programs. Many of the lighting components are original to the 1974 auditorium construction. To maintain and expand our tradition of excellence, the KASDEF invites KASD alumni, families, businesses, and individuals to join with us by donating to this project. Cougar Courtyard enriches KASD’s Elementary Life Skills Support program housed at Kutztown Elementary School. This program will serve students with individualized educational plans requiring advanced support related to autism spectrum disorder and other sensory processing challenges. To help meet this growing need, KASDEF is working with the district to construct a sensory playground in an enclosed courtyard at KES. A sensory playground is a versatile and inclusive environment specifically designed to cater to the sensory needs of all children, especially those with sensory processing challenges and developmental disabilities. KASDEF invites KASD alumni, families, businesses, and individuals to join us by donating to this project. Learn more about the project and giving options here.

The Flexible Option, available here, allows you to make a donation that will be split between the two projects. You may also request a phone call to discuss the possibilities.

Please join us in continuing to improve education together! These projects will produce exciting opportunities for our students!
